The experience offered by Hidden Window presents a compelling exploration of interactive storytelling through personalized video narrative. As an experimental digital media project, it invites participants to become active contributors by integrating their own content into a cohesive and immersive short film.

Synopsis:
Kate, having just left work late at night while waiting for her bus, receives a mysterious text message containing a video. This video reveals an underground forum where individuals have been recorded without their knowledge. To her horror, Kate recognizes herself in the footage. The forum also features other participants, including the user involved in creating the experience. As her fear intensifies, a shadowy figure emerges in the distance, approaching her with an unsettling gaze.

The narrative progresses with a journalist investigating missing persons, ultimately discovering Kate’s murder scene. Her perception begins to fragment as she becomes increasingly immersed in both her real life and online presence. Her psychological state deteriorates as her motives shift toward revenge rooted in past relationship struggles, culminating in a tense and disturbing climax.

How it works:
This project enables users to craft a personalized thriller by uploading specific content—such as videos or photographs—of themselves or dedicated friends. This material is then seamlessly integrated into a pre-existing story centered around clandestine forums and unresolved disappearances. Participants act as directors, selecting appropriate assets to embed into the narrative, which vividly places them as characters within the film. Users can also choose to include personal images for themselves, creating an even more bespoke experience.
